• Maintaining all the machines in plant to reduce the breakdown and achieve the budgeted targets. • Tune up the machinery to achieve production to budgeted level. • Achieve maximum efficiency to stipulated/rated levels for equipments. • Review the performance with team members regularly and try to improve the productivity of the plant. • To carry out preventive maintenance of machineries as per the schedules • Make all the utilities available to maintain required quality standards of the plant. • To maintain the ISO standards of the plant Ensuring proper and optimum utilization of plant and machinery and equipments. • Maintaining the electricity and furnace oil consumption with in budgeted target. • Reduce the break down of the machines by providing proper maintenance. • To keep the repair and maintenance cost within budgeted amount. • Control the usage of power in the plant. • Capital and Revenue budgeting • Provide all safety measures in order to reduce Grievance of the accident (if occurs) • Conducting periodic safety audits of pressure vessels , boilers, electrical equipment and getting license renewal for CO2 ,FO HSD storage etc. • Liaison with statutory authorities: inspector of factories, electrical inspectorate, directorate of boilers, PCB, Department of Explosives and weights & measures – for renewal of licenses and compliance – operational safety • To give on-the-job training to the subordinates. • To identify training programmes for self. • Identify the areas which needs improvement and implementation. • Preparation of estimates in respect of modernization, up gradation and new projects and inviting relevant competitive quotations from reputed suppliers and manufactures.
